Morgan County's Charles Gilbert Signs With the University of the Cumberlands

6'2" 275 lb OL/DL Charles Gilbert signed his letter of intent to play football at Cumberlands last week.

Gilbert was a solid offensive and defensive lineman and was a three year starting and 4 year letterman for the Cougars. Gilbert starter for both playoff teams of 2004 and 2005.

Was honors did he receive while he played in terms of district, state, or conference?

Congrats to Charles on this accomplishment. I am wondering if he is the only player to sign or go to the next level and play?

There have been several Cougars sign and go on to play college football from Morgan County. Off of this year's team, Gilbert has signed. I'm unsure on Wes Montgomery who also was interested in Cumberlands. I don't know if he has committed yet.
