Junior Jordan Woodruff takes a no hitter into the seventh and goes the distance after giving up two hits in the seventh as the Camels win 6-1 at Maysville. Danny Jenkins had two hits including a two RBI double for the Camels. Mike Sandlin added a double as well for the Camels. Woodruff strikes out 10 improving to 2-0 on the season. The Camel JV won 23-0 in four innings in the first game. Next up for the Varsity is a trip to Calvary Christian tomorrow for a district game. Camels are now 3-1 on the season. :ylsuper:

Errors hurt the Royals in this game. The game should have been at worse 3-2! Gave up three runs in the seventh. Early in the first inning Richie Cox hit a shot down the left field line, the umpire said "I don't know? I think it is a foul ball.?" This took some wind out of the Royals but didn't cost them the game. Good game Camels and a good showing on the mound by Woodruff.

Congratulations Camels on another win. Good luck at Calvary Christian today, lets hope the rain holds off until we get the game in, then bring out the winter gear.

Richie's shot hit my car on the first bounce, and it was on the other side of the street. I thought it was a HR, but that's the breaks - then the CC centerfielder made a great play on him to end the inning. Who knows how the game would have turned out had the HR been called a HR? Maybe no difference.

 

I also thought the CC pitcher looked pretty strong.
