The Campbell County Varsity game at Harrison County today has been cancelled due to wet grounds. The Harrison County JV - Campbell JV game scheduled at Campbell County is still on.

Oh boy here we go again! Come on HCHS! Do you have an axe to grind with the Breds baseball team or what? I guess Harrison was afraid to play Campbell. LOL:confused:

didn't think that at all...anybody who knows anything at all knows HC backs down from no one. With Coach Herrington no longer with us, I wouldn't be surprised if several games are canceled this year that would have been played when he was around. He worked during the school day to get "unplayable" fields ready by game time that afternoon...those days are long gone now.

I've noticed in the 10th it is more of a custom for the cancelled game to be cancelled regardless of who is playing it while in the 9th if one field is playable, the varsity usually goes and the jv usually gets cancelled. Interesting when sometimes they play between regions...

Both Campbell and Harrison are 10th region teams now, though at times it seems like the former 9th region teams have a hard time splitting their allegiance. I guess that northern kentucky conference gives them a hitch in their gitty-up. Has to make it tough when schools can't really be "full fledged" members in either region....scheduleing limitations, travel issues, etc.

Agreed that Coach Herrington will be missed in many ways. He did work many miracles on the field in years past and his expertise will be missed as much as he will be missed. I was just teasing about the other comments, because last year Milford flash, Scott fans and some others questioned Harrison cancelling some games later in the season.
