Featured Replies

Assuming that Warren Central holds on to their large lead, below is a list of teams with multiple Sweet 16 final four appearances durning the past 10 years.

PRP- 2 final fours

Russellville- 2 final fours

North Hardin- 2 final fours

Paducah Tilghman- 2 final fours

Male- 2 final fours

Mason County- 2 final fours

Lexington Catholic- 3 final fours

Ballard- 3 final fours

Warren Central- 3 final fours

Scott County- 5 final fours

All big schools except Russellville, who never advanced to the title game.

Mason County I think was a 2A football school when they were going to the championship games. Lex Cath was 2A part of the time and 3A others. I am not sure about Tilghman, 3A I think.

Didnt realize Scott had been 5 times in the past 10 years. Quite an accomplishment.

Yes. This year makes 5 in the past 10 years.

So it looks like schools with enrollments of less than 900 can compete afterall.

I think Scott County's enrollment is closer to 1700 than 1840.

Per the KHSAA, here are the enrollments; two year-average from '04-'05 and '05-'06:

PRP 1931

Scott County 1840

Ballard 1675

Male 1656

North hardin 1397

Warrren Central 1132

Lexington Catholic 862

Mason County 798

Paducah Tilghman 776

Russellville 353

If you use the football cutoff of 750, Russellville is the only small school in the bunch.
