It is good to see that Wayne Breeden has returned Owensboro to the state tournament. Breeden has many friends and supporters here in northeastern Kentucky. Good luck to Coach Breeden and his team. Unfortunately, they play Louisville Ballard in the first round.

I can tell you that no one out works Wayne. He is a great coach and an equally great guy to talk X's and O's with, he knows his stuff. Congrats and Good Luck Owensboro!!

I have gotten to know Wayne this year. A classy guy and I must say a very humble guy also. He said many times this year how much credit should go to his assisiant coaches who have instilled the Red Devils pride and tradition back into the players. Also, in really close games ( especially with Apollo this year) he seemed to really enjoy the the "chess match" of coaching down the stretch with the X's and O's. He may be the first coach in the 3rd region history to take his 1st team here to sweet 16.
