Big game with respect to seeding in the tournament. Currently it is 32-26 UT with 3:48 remaining in the first half. The Vols have led by as much as 11 in the first half. The big story right now is that they've done it without any production from Lofton who is 0 for 2 from the floor with zero points, and is on the bench with 2 personal fouls. JaJuan Smith has stepped up in his absence with 11 points on 4 for 4 shooting, but is also saddled with 2 fouls.

Lofton is on the floor now despite the fouls.

Chism missed a wide-open dunk with 4 seconds left and then a putback.

 

UT is actually quite lucky to be leading at all when you see that Lofton is scoreless. That means two things: One, if that continues, UT will have to continue to have other scorers step up. Georgia is in good position with that scenario. Two, if Lofton finds his shot, the Bulldogs are in trouble.

UGA is on a 24-9 run since UT took their maximum lead at 25-13, and are on a 14-2 run in the last 8 minutes.

UT is at a crucial point in the game as Lofton still doesn't seem to be in the flow and is having foul trouble. Georgia has squandered several straight posessions with missed threes, but you can feel the arena is about to explode if they keep extending the lead.
