theguru Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 What does North Oldham need to do to improve in 2007? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.
stick1 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Build on the foundation that is being laid. There has been so much turnover that it really has been tough on the kids there with both the Administration and Coaches. Coach Martin will do a great job there it's just a matter of building on what they have. This will be the first year that they will have experienced kids in leadership roles. Dylan Grandon could be one of the better sleeper QB's around. Ryan Gallas is another nice player and Andrew Tuller will be a name you will hear for the next couple of years.
87Bird Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Coach Martin is in a tough situation, IMO. He no doubt has a very talented QB. But, in the best interest of the team, throwing the ball might not be the best thing to do. If your defense isn't strong, incomplete's just stop the clock and provide more possible possessions for he opponents. If he can shore up the defense and find a few "possession" type receivers, they'll be ok and show improvement. As stick1 mentioned, these kids are finally getting the consistency they need in terms of staff. Coach Martin can certainly do it, it's going to be a matter of time.
