oldrambler Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 End of the 1st qtr. Russell 4 Raceland 2 Raceland is playing tough defense and a diciplined ball control offense.
HOMELESS CAMEL Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 End of the 1st qtr. Russell 4 Raceland 2. I just turned on the online radio feed and when they mentioned the score I was sure it was a mistake. Guess not. lol
oldrambler Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 Approx. 4:00 to go in the half, Russell leads 16-7. J. Vanhoose just went down with what appeared to be a knee injury, taken to the locker room unable to put any weight on that leg. I hate to see any kid injured and I hope that he willl be o.k..
HOMELESS CAMEL Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Russell 16 Raceland 7 BUT Vanhoose just left the floor putting no pressure on his left leg. No word on what specifically. knee? As I hit send, I see your message. Sorry about that. lol
oldrambler Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 Russell turned Raceland over a few times the 2nd qtr. and the outside shots are not falling for the Rams.
oldrambler Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 As I hit send, I see your message. Sorry about that. lol No problem :thumb: , I thought I had made a mistake a time or two myself but I was mistaken.
oldrambler Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 First report on the Vanhoose injury is that it is a possible ACL. I certainly hope not, prayers are with him.
HOMELESS CAMEL Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 First report on the Vanhoose injury is that it is a possible ACL. I certainly hope not, prayers are with him. His health is obviously more important than any basketball game. BUT with that said, they may win this game, but their long term future in the 16th is in danger if he can't play. Tough way for the season to end for him, if it's serious.
oldrambler Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 Raceland's Tyler Boyles goes down with what looked like a knee injury, per:radio broadcast. Nothing further on that yet.
oldrambler Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 I can't believe what I thought that I just heard the Russell radio man say about Boyle's injury......"The good news about Boyles injury is that coach Johnson will have to abandon the game plan w/o Boyles" !!! Good news? There is no good news about any injury to any kid that remark was totally classless!!!!! Someone please tell me he didn't say that although I am pretty sure that is what I heard.
oldrambler Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 Russell 35 Raceland 29 6:25 to go in the game.
Incognito Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Same announcer also said he 'hoped Raceland missed all four freethrows' when a foul and technical foul both were called on Russell's Austin Blair. I know it is a Russell radio broadcast, but shouldn't sportsmanship apply everywhere? They said Vanhoose heard a "pop" which isn't a good sign. Hope this isn't serious. Russell will not be the same team without him. any news on Boyles?
