Who attended this one? Any game details? Shelby is a very big team, curious how the Birds defended them.

Mostly man to man. Willie started the 5 seniors and they played almost the whole first quarter. About even score when the first subs came in. Wise and Kruse were bothering SC big boys with height and physical play. Stein's girth and Eaton's reach/quickness also pestered them. But they are talented and found ways to score. No real deep threat exhibited by either team. SC was very fluid on the break and displayed alot of athleticism. (this was probably the difference in the game). Conley played a very spirited game at the point. I like his energy on the floor. Simons looks to be the anchor of the team. If he plays heady and under control, so will the team. He had a very nice game. Simpson was leading scorer...but forced WAY too many shots and was defended superbly by SC#24. Wise was inspired and actually had a few really nice post moves. (had two ABSOLUTE muggings that somehow got attributed to another Bird defender.) The Birds were in this game playing a VERY deliberate offensive set that takes great discipline and I thought they did a real nice job with it. Lookout for some March Madness??

He's a big kid, and he can play some "D", he did a good job on Hester in the SK game.
