This was a game I felt Whitley could win for sure, sounds like another melt down, they got to learn how to finish the deal.

The khsaa has them at 8-17. Seems that they have blown more games than they have won. Right now, from what I hear is that Deaton is averaging $10,000 + per win.

I would not blame Coach Deaton for the type of money he is making, someone else had to agree to pay it. I'm sure he won't give any back. Would you? His coaching is sound, the players have to learn to, and expect to win. That does not happen over night or even over one season.

Deaton's coaching is sound, whether Whitley will ever take to it or not may be another matter. Whitley Co. can be a tough place to coach, regardless of the money.

Not pointing blame on Deaton at all!! Get as much as you can! It just appears that Whitley's problems runs much deaper than a coach.
