Exactly, IAmAFan. Pelle has the luxury of having the ball in his hands most of the time, but Belcher is at the mercy of his teammates. He has to wait for someone to "try" and pass it to him.

 

That could be a luxury or a curse. Wonder how many junk defenses Pelle has seen this year?

 

Belcher is a nice player and I know that his being recruited to play college ball.

Someone is going to get a steal with Pelle too.

I think PC came to the game thinking this would be an easy victory and was almost blown out of the door. Cory Pelle is one of the best players I have ever watched, such a smooth player. More impressed by him then Preston Knowles. Not only great player, seems like great kid. It was nice to see the PC parents/players/fans congratulate him on his performance after the game.

The whole Silver Grove team plays very well together, C Pelle maybe the stand out but the others have good talent. Great from the 3pt line. Good luck Trains, see you in the regionals...

As for PC, I hope they come to play next week in the districts better then they were last night.

 

God I hope so. I was in 5th grade, the year was 1978, and the Trains had beaten CCHS to go to the Regionals for the first time since my Dad played in the late '50's. Of course, they drew #1 Holmes with Schloemer. So what did they do? At the half, the score was tied and even going into the 4th Quarter, things were tight. Unfortunately, Holmes' depth took over, and they put it away. That same Holmes team would lose in the state final to Shelby Co.

 

Fast forward to my freshman year and we had a solid team. We drew Scott and we had beaten them pretty soundly earlier in the year. We came out flat, but made a nice run and took the lead late in the game. However, Scott made a flip shot in the lane with less than 10 seconds to go, and we lost by one. I didn't know it then, but that would be the closest I would get to make it to the regionals.

 

Years later as an alum, I watched them lose a heartbreaker to CCHS (2000 I think?). So, it's been 29 years since a trip to the Regionals. Man, I would like to see them go again. Keep working hard Trains. Just one time, I would like to make the trip to the Fieldhouse. Go Big Trains!

I have never had a team to win the Sweet Sixteen, but let me tell you being there is awesome.

I got to go with Highlands in 1979 and then to take my daughter with PCHS 2 years ago. It is definitely a memory that lasts a lifetime. Watching my daughter cheer Pendleton on was like watching myself cheering for Highlands.

I think it would be awesome to watch the Trains win and get the chance to play at Rupp!!! :banana:

I see SG of course beating Calvary in the districts, but then you go up against Brossart who now has Mutsch back and I think this will be too much for the Trains. Personally, I think it would be a very good thing for SG to get to the regional, but I just don't see it happening this year.

I have seen three different teams play a triangle and 2 with two on Corey and he still had 20+ in each game. Bottom Line is: He is as good as advertised. If you haven't seen him play and have a chance to in the next two weeks, do it. :thumb:
