Ryle at Dixie Heights

Ryle (4-5) hits the road Friday night to take on Dixie Heights (4-5) in a non-district matchup.

The Raiders are coming off a 14-7 loss to Simon Kenton after winning three straight against Tates Creek, Campbell County, and Great Crossing. Ryle will look to bounce back and finish the regular season on a strong note.

Dixie Heights enters on a two-game winning streak after defeating Conner 44-8 and Boone County 34-3. The Colonels will look to protect home field against a Ryle team looking to regain momentum.

Ryle won last year’s meeting 62-20 and will look to continue its success against the Colonels.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. Friday at Dixie Heights.

Highly doubt it’ll be a blowout like last year. I’ll go with Dixie here. They’ve hit their stride on offense and their defense has been really solid against the run and with creating turnovers.

The Raiders defense has allowed just 6.5 points per game over their last 4 games. The Dixie offense has been a scoring machine, averaging 38.75 points per game over their last 4 games.

Think for this game you need to look at common opponents Conner, Cooper and Simon Kenton. This game should be a tight one, may be the first to 20 points wins the ball game.

This will be the last time Dixie and Ryle play for the foreseeable future. These teams will not play each other during the 27 or 28 regular seasons.
