This week finds Mayfield making the trip to Jefferson County to play the Yellowjackets of Louisville Central. Central is not in the conversation when talking about 3A contenders, at least not this year. But they have a habit of fielding teams that can win, and the Cardinals will face a definite step up in competition when Friday gets here.

Central has played a 2A opponent this year, but lost that game to Belfry 28-14. Can the Cardinals make the long trip and get the win, or do the Yellowjackets play spoiler?
