I thought it would be in ABC order,but I have no clue.Cawood,Clay,Corbin,Cumberland?Just seemed to be right.

No, they go through district order aphabeticaly -

last year - 49th - Clay

this year - 50th - corbin

next year 51st - Knox Central (BVILLE too small)

then 52nd - Bell

 

then 49th - Jackson or North, but the I believe the list I saw said North

I see.How's the region pairings seeded?Have they been determined or not?

The region draw won't take place until March 3 or March 4.

They don't do a seeding process, the winners of the districts draw the losers.

You can never win an argument about what "could have, should have" happened after you lose by 18.

 

Corbin could just as easily say that if we played as good defensively in the first half as we did the second half, we could win by 30.

 

The score is what the scoreboard says it is.

 

If Corbin doesn't shoot as well and Cumberland avoids the turnovers, they could knock off Corbin. Right now, though, Corbin is the better team.

I respectfully disagree with the (if they played better defense the first half comment) but, I understand until Cumberland proves they can beat one of the top 4 they will not get the respect they have worked very hard to attain. They are a very solid basketball team and I believe they will keep working very hard to achieve their goals and deserve much more respect than LES has shown them in his comments.

I wish it was Saturday, like a few years ago, but the SIX-TEAM 52nd District will still be playing on Saturday.

I think they're going to draw two hours after that game is finished ... just kidding of course:)

Les, it appears you use the word Ease kind of loosely when referring to the way Corbin handled Cumberland in the 2nd half of their game Saturday. I dont think coach Tony P. thought it was too easy, nor did anyone else that has commented on the game. The Redhounds were down at the half and made a strong surge early in the 3rd, while Cumberland continued to try to run and gun with them, which was a mistake mainly due to the fact they only went 6 deep on their bench, while Corbin went 10 without loosing much when they substituted. Then late in the game, with Cumberland wore down to add to the final margin there was a technical during a Cumberland possession that turned out to be a 6 point turn around (instead of Cumberland scoring 2, Corbin scored 4) that lead to the final margin being a misleading 18 points. The bottom line IMO is Corbin is a very solid team, but no where close to 18 points better than Cumberland and if they meet again in the regional tournament it will be a completely different game, much closer if not a toss up either way.
