I thought I would start a thread about the labor negotiations between the players union and MLB. MLB has proposed to shorten the regular season from 162 games down to 154 in 2029. They also proposed to expand the division series from the best of 5 to the best of 7. They also proposed standard weekly off day on Monday's. However, the major sticking point is still all of this is contingent on the Players Association accepting a salary cap and they are totally against that.

I thought any updates or negotiations can be discussed here. It should be a very interesting off season.

The final four teams consist of three small market teams.
