The battle of two teams who are 1-0 in district play takes place on Friday night in Lawerenceburg. The Scott County Cardinals travel to take on the Anderson County Bearcats.

Last week, Anderson County beat South Oldham 28-20. While South Oldham is definitely down this year, it was still a bit surprising to see Anderson County win a game in district. Anderson County improved to 4-2 and they're looking for their first playoff birth since the 22-23 season. They had not won 4 or more games since the 19-20 season, yet they have already matched that through 6 games this year! Good things are happening with that program.

Scott County played Collins in their first district matchup. It was a crazy game with the final score being 71-60 in favor of Scott County. The Cardinals got in a hole early down 14-0, but after a first drive fluke fumble from the offense, they scored every drive after. Who can consistently stop the SC offense?

So, will Scott County beat Anderson County? Or will Anderson County continue their impressive season and upset the Cardinals?

Anderson Co., and most anyone else for that matter, will have a tough time stopping Scott Co. The path to victory for Anderson Co. will have to be to put up quite a few points. Scott Co. defense has been scored on quite a bit. I don't think a 17-10 type game is likely. It will have to be a score fest. Scott Co. will score regardless. Anderson Co. must do so as well.

Scott Co. 42-21.

I personally don't think Anderson has much of a chance. SC offense is too versatile and the defense continues to tighten up.

Technically twice. Once vs GC, and once vs Collins they punted with 10 seconds left in the first half to not give them a chance at a possession.
