Message from Coach Worton:

“I am a fierce competitor, driven and passionate about the game of basketball and inspiring the next generation of young men. I’ve spent the last four seasons at Klein Oak High School, a suburb in Houston, Texas. I was the first assistant head coach and helped turn around a program that teams used to look forward to playing. This season we finished 30-4, we were the #9 rank team in the state of Texas and undefeated district champs at 16-0.

I was raised in Columbus, Indiana but moved to Texas when I was 6. Basketball has always been my first love. I am committed to building a program rooted in discipline, toughness, and commitment to being everyday basketball players. Before wins and losses, I look to build upon a culture that emphasizes relentless effort,  and mental and physical toughness.

My goal is to create a program that the school and community can take pride in, one that plays hard, plays together and represents the pride and fight of Dawson Springs!”

Please join us THIS FRIDAY at 2:00pm in the Hard Work Cafe as we introduce Coach Worton along with new head girls basketball coach Brooklyn Clark for our first basketball MEDIA DAY. The community is WELCOME along with all members of the media. We hope to see you there!
