Spring Ball 2026

I coach track and we have several football players but we work around their football commitments. Some guys split time between both sports, some just do spring practice, and some that are varsity on track will stick with track.

So you guys have kids go to Spring Practice and then  just show up at meets?

No, we only enter kids in meets that make at least 3 practices a week. We have soccer kids that do club soccer as well that work around.

In my day of coaching, this is the style that I typically saw. It allows kids to focus on their main sports, but you are still able to get the best athletes out for track. It sounds like you guys get support across the board- coaches, AD, admin, players, etc. Is this done at a larger school?
