The last game of the quarterfinal round was the best, as it came down to the buzzer in a meeting of former district rivals.  Monroe County seized control at several points during the game, but could never shake all the way loose of Glasgow.  Even when they took a four point lead with 20 seconds remaining, Glasgow wasn't out of it.  The Scotties got a layup, then forced a travel on the ensuing inbounds, setting up the end game.  After a giveaway foul, the Scotties found England in the corner who put up the three with a chance for the win, but it kicked off the back iron, and the Falcons advanced to their first region semifinal since 2015.

That sets up a matchup with South Warren in the semifinals, and one of those teams will advance to their first region final ever.  South Warren, of course, has never been in a region tournament at all.  And Monroe County is the only active region team to have gone to a region semifinal game but never make the finals.  One of them will get that off their back come Monday night.

Interesting play at the end of the game to put the ball in a sophomore's hand for a game winning three rather than your top 3-4 playmakers. Also Ironic that there has been talk of this player moving to Monroe County.

The ball was in their playmakers hand, Bradley. He made a drive left and help came and he kicked for a wide open three as time expires. Bradley did create the play and created a wide open shot, IMO that was a better shot a wide open kickout three than a forced shot over two defenders by Bradley. 

It was definitely a good look, and probably the right read for the situation as it played out.  The unfortunate thing for Glasgow is that they really don't have anyone who shoots the three well.  England has the third best shooting percentage from three of anyone that attempted more than 15 threes, but that percentage was just 27.4%.  The most consistent three point shooter on the team was the guy with the ball in his hand, Bradley, and he shoots only 30.6%.
