Week 3–4 Outlook for Kentucky

Featured Replies

This covers the period past the 8-10 day outlook.

With mild air dominating much of the central United States, Kentucky is expected to be warmer than usual overall over the coming weeks. For above-normal amounts, precipitation confidence is higher, and Kentucky is part of the Ohio Valley's wetter signal. This is consistent with the continued effects of La Niña, which may cause storm systems to pass through the area more frequently.  Even though the average temperature is higher than usual, brief cold spells are still possible. Low-end snow or wintry mix chances may arise if colder air overlaps with passing systems, particularly at night or in higher altitudes.

Winter weather is still possible at this range, but specific snow events cannot be identified.

If the timing is right, expect mostly mild days, sporadic chances of rain, and occasionally the possibility of winter weather. As confidence grows, keep checking back for updates.
