The sophomore tandem of Jordan Mitchell and Trey Hillerich powered Male to blowout wins over Fern Creek and Central Hardin last week. Mitchell scored 30 with 7 boards and 6 assists against Creek, while Hillerich teased a triple-double against the Tigers (11 points/9 rebounds/ 7 blocks/5 assists) before delivering against the Bruins and flirting with a quadruple-double (17 points/10 rebounds/10 blocks/7 assists). With his expansive skill set, we may see a few of those from him over the next three years.

? | Region and state #1 St. X gave and took against nationally prominent competition, suffering a decisive setback to DI laden Spire Academy out of Ohio before topping Top 20 ranked Tennessee Collegiate Academy behind the all-court game of Chief Cameron with 26 pts, 11 rebs., and 7 assists. Josh Lindsay added another 21 in the scoring column.
 
?? ? | One of the week's top intra-region clashes saw Seneca take down Eastern. The young Redhawks placed four in double figures, led by Prestyn Wheatley’s 17 points and 16 rebounds. Wheatley went toe to toe with Damian Jung, the 7th’s top newcomer, who produced 20 & 9. Jung has mostly done as he pleases so far, averaging a hefty 28.5 ppg and 11.5 rpg.

♈ | Ahmad Shelton scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in Manual's loss to McCracken County, giving him four straight double-doubles to begin the season. He's averaging 12.5 & 12 so far this season.
