Coach James Bridges has stepped down after 8 years as skipper for the Pilots football program. Job was listed to the school's employment portal today.

This is a tough, tough job. Fulton Co HS is the furthest west you can be in the state of KY. It’s 35 mins to the nearest school that offers football. Literally out in the middle of nowhere. 

Coach Bridges did a great job keeping this program alive!  He would always make sure kids had rides to/from practice & games.  Make sure his kids didn’t skip meals and kept their grades together. He was always promoting the program and school to the best of his ability.

It will be very difficult to find someone with the dedication Coach Bridges had for this program.  I believe it will have to be a local hire and/or someone within the program.  
 

Given all their challenges, their MS program always seems to have athletes and have successful seasons.  Seems like they keep losing kids to TN schools constantly.  
 

Fulton City did away with their football program some years ago.  I sure hope the Pilots find their HC soon.
