? London Serves As The Battleground For The Most Anticipated North/South Contest In Years

Both teams have had the wind knocked out of them by Pulaski County recently, with matching 35 point losses to the Maroons.

That won't put a damper on the festivities in London this Friday, as North and South meet with county bragging rights on the line.

The high flying Cardinals like to pitch and catch behind the arm of Mason Griffin and a deep receiving corp. The Jags will attempt to cage the redbirds with a defense that's held six opponents this season to two scores or less, including three shutouts.

The battle lines are clear.... blue and red don't mix in Laurel County.

South is scoring at a 40 ppg clip, but they won at home last year with defense, picking off four North passes and housing two of them.

I think we'll see a defensive battle tomorrow night between the #2 (South) and #3 (North) scoring defenses in 5A. Both have been rock solid on that side of the ball, with the exception of losses to Pulaski.

I'll take the more battle hardened North defense for the win tomorrow supplemented by a more ground heavy, conservative offensive game plan.
