For the first time in the 13-year history of the event, the 2025 Operation UNITE Bass Fishing State Championships presented by UK HealthCare will take off at Lake Cumberland in Jamestown this weekend.

The two-day competition will award a girls' state champion for the third consecutive season, in addition to a boys'/coed winner, on Saturday afternoon.

Admission is free to the public. The weigh-in ceremonies on both Friday and Saturday will be broadcast live on khsaa.tv at no cost to viewers.

I have to admit. I'm pretty jealous of these guys and gals for being able to compete for a fishing tournament State Championship.  I would have loved to have done that when I was in high school.  Good for them.

 

AND this is likely the only tournament where Trinity (Whitesville) will beat Trinity (Louisville).  Ha!
