Knox Central 57 Wayne County 66

Featured Replies

Where was this game at? I would have thought Knox Central would have won by more than this.

Wayne won the game. Not surprising since the game was at Wayne County. That is a tough place to win.

It was at Wayne but they used 13th Region Refs. Wayne has a nice team. It was nice they won on William Shearer night. I just wish they would have by "11"

Woods is a good coach but I thought K.C. was beginning to play well. Is Shearer related to the guard who played in the finals with Owens and Green. They gave PRP all they wanted,

William Shearer, who was honored last night was the brother of Jeffery Shearer who helped Wayne reach the finals of the State in 1989.

Home court advantage is a factor hard to overcome sometimes. KC had their way with Lynn Camp in the second half of their game early in the year and won by double figures at KC, LC beats Wayne by double figures at home after being behind by 15 or 16 in the first half and then Wayne beats KC at home. Home sweet Home I guess.

It is a long trip on a bus either way. Also the hometeam seems to have more of an advantage when the visitor is from out of region.

Seems as though Knox Centrals coaching staff has once again demonstrated their inability to coach and motivate their kids to win a ballgame against a much less talented Wayne Co. team that started 2 8th graders!!! Waynes

team worked the ball inside on practically every possession in the second half which resulted in layups and open jumpers when kicked back out. KC passes the ball around the perimeter on practically every possession looking for the 3No rebounding! No inside play.. No fault of the players.. Its the style of play, Look outside first. Look outside second.... And yes they have the size and athletic ability to play with anybody on the inside in the 13th.
