Joker’s line in a 2-OT loss to the Wolves.  First 61 point triple double ever.  You hate to put a loss on one guy. But with the Nuggets one point up and something like 11 seconds to play and possession, Russell  Westbrook drove and missed a layup. Wolves got off a 3-point shot that missed, but Westbrook fouled the shooter with 0.1 seconds left.  Two makes, game over.

And I think the Wolves swept the season series.

Didn't get to bed until 1:30 AM because I was so jacked after this game. The Joker was great. The numbers piled up early because he was foul-baiting and got to the line early and often. He took nearly as many FT attempts (24) as Anthony Edwards took shots (25). The Wolves do play Joker differently than most. They are much more concerned with him dishing out assists and hitting the boards than anything else. For him to only record 10 rebounds and 10 assists in a game he played 53 minutes is a win for Minnesota.

And yes, the Wolves swept the season series, but the Nuggets still scare the crap out of me.

I love thinking back to all the debates I would have regarding Russell Westbrook. My position was always that you will never win anything with him as your primary decision-maker. Granted, he is in a more limited role now, but last night he played some of the greatest hits. Early on Denver had a chance to run away with the game, building an early 16-point lead. Westbrook is inserted and the script is flipped almost immediately.

Same day, different stuff.
