UofL commit Nolan Hosking hit three home runs and drove in seven for the week. The Rocks dealt #3 Sayre its first loss of the season behind six innings, four hits, and one run allowed by Gray Davis. โข PRP jumps three spots to #2. Last year's state champions improved to 9-0 after surviving a 12-11 barnburner against #9 LexCath. The Panthers have won 23 straight games dating back to last season. โข Ballard's Lucas Niemeyer no-hit Manual in a five inning mercy rule win for the Bruins. His offensive counterpart was Eli Frith, who delivered three hits and drove in seven of Ballard's eleven runs. โข South Warren and McCracken County remain poll neighbors, as each moved up four places to numbers 6 and 7, respectively. The Spartans got homers from Camden Page and WKU commit Ethan Reynolds to beat emerging 2nd Region contender Christian County. โข The week's biggest mover was Madison Central, who leapt eight spots to #16. The Indians utilized small ball to defeat #18 Great Crossing, 6-3, for their biggest win of the season so far. All three of their losses are to ranked teams. โข Lyon County, Somerset, and University Heights share the dubious honor of biggest loser, each falling six places in the poll. The Lyons and Jumpers combined to go 0-4 in last week's PBK Invitational, albeit against top competition, including the top two ranked teams in the state. โข The only newcomer to the rankings is #25 Henry Clay, fresh off a 4-0 week.
