Region 15 and 16 play eachother in the first round both on the girls and boys side of the tournament... interesting.

Several interesting potential first-round matchups.

 

Regions 3 and 4 should know each other. Ohio County and Apollo head about 5 teams with a very good shot in the 3rd; while Franklin-Simpson, Warren East and Barren County may be the class of the 4th.

 

Regions 15 and 16 square off in the first round. Magoffin County looks to be the team to beat right now, with Russell getting the nod from me at this point in the 16th.

 

Regions 8 and 9 should also know each other very well for their first-round game.

 

Region 11 is loaded, but whoever makes it from there may have smooth sailing to the final game. The top half of the bracket looks loaded. Region 11's main competition in the lower bracket will probably come in the semis from either Notre Dame or Boone County from the 9th.

I believe that it is just the opposite. I believe that who ever comes out of the 7th will walk to Saturday Night and that the teams in the bottom half of the bracket will beat up on each other pretty much the entire way. Could be an interesting structure. I look forward to seeing things play out down the stretch.

Iroquois is from the 6th. They and Butler are probably the top two teams in the 6th right now.

 

The 5th is LOADED. North Hardin, Central hardin and E'Town are all potential top 10 teams in the state
