What Are You Watching: 2025

New trending GIF tagged documentary roger ebert life ...

I might be an addict watching Netflix movies or documentaries, was going to track how many I get thru in 2025 and hopefully you all can provide potential suggestions.  I only have Netflix & Prime Movies so if you suggest things on other streaming services I won't be able to watch but maybe others will.  Also, it doesn't have to be "New Releases" it could be a Classic that still are hanging out to be able to stream.  I might have either missed it when it originally came out OR maybe I just want to re-watch a classic.  I don't really have the attention span to watch long series shows, so most of my things I will watch are quick handful Episode things or movies....

Let the tracking begin:

1. DUE DATE (2010 Netflix):  Hysterically funny at least for the first 60% of the movie...the ending sort of dies out on the Comedic humor.  Has Robert Downey, Jr and Zack Galifianakis in it.  This is a movie I must have missed when it came out 14 years ago.

2. THE COMEBACK:  2004 BOSTON RED SOX (2024 Netflix):  This is a 3 Episode documentary about, you guessed it, the 2004 Boston Red Sox Post Season against the Yankees.  I am not a Red Sox fan but a baseball fan.  I really enjoyed these 3 episodes

3. How to Rob a Bank (2024 Netflix):  This is a movie/documentary about a true bank robber that was hitting banks back in the day up around Seattle.  I enjoyed it.

4. A Futile and Stupid Gesture (2018 Netflix):  A funny movie that follows how the National Lampoon co-founder Doug Kenney built his empire.

5. It Ends with Us (2024 Netflix):  If you need a good crying movie, here you go.  Shed some tears in this one.

6. Surviving Black Hawk Down (2025 Netflix): This is a 3 episode series that covers that horrific Somalia event.  It has interviews with a handful of the US Soldiers that fought in the battle along with some of the Somalia militia people that were on that side.  Very powerful documentary.

7. Aftermath (2024 Netflix):  Currently sitting at #2 on the Netflix Top Movies.  This is full of action/explosions/gun fire.  You won't recognize a single actor in it.  The quality of acting is average if best.  Was a decent movie but if I had to do it again, probably not watching this.

PS. I think this might be my first thread started in the Break Room in BGP....I thought it might be nice change of pace instead of all the High School stuff

8. Rambo: Last Blood (2019 Netflix):  Finally hoping this is the final rendition of the Rambo series.  Pretty gruesome.  I didn't know if I had watched this before so I watched it again.

9. Triple Frontier (2019 Netflix):  Ben Affleck stars in this basic money heist against some Venezuelan bad guys, then they run for their lives to safety.  Decent movie..

10. The Man from Toronto (2022 Netflix): Out of the 3 movies I watched this weekend this by far was my favorite.  It had a lot of action plus some funny moments.  Stars Woody Harrelson and Kevin Hart.

The Boston Red Sox comeback documentary will have you wanting to run through a wall.

The Black HAwk Down is awesome but unfortunately it brought out in me what is the worst in humans.
