Southwestern 69 Wayne County 53

SW wore Wayne Co. out 69 to 53 last night.  Led from start to finish.

Wayne had the lead twice. 😉 Then it was ALL down hill. Ha.

Wayne has been really hard to watch at times this year.  Last night they were hard to watch the whole game.  Credit Southwestern's defense. Wayne looked confused on offense on most possessions and only had a couple easy baskets the entire game.

With the region down this year, one has to wonder where Wayne would be if the team had remained intact from last year.

Southwestern has really looked good lately.  Very impressive last 2 games against West and Wayne.  Coach Dunbar doing a phenomenal job this year.  Could be a very tough out in the region tournament.  I think SW and Somerset match up soon and that will be a great game.  I really want to see how SW handles the size of Somerset.

They would be 1B IMO.  On another note, this was the best Zach Hutchinson for SW looked.  Him and Dumford both playing downhill in transition is tough.

The key to this game for SW defensively was Wyatt Stevenson face guarding of Kendall Phillips.  He was out of sync for most of the night.

I think Hutchinson has the potential to be a top 3 player in the region. He is a tough matchup.

SW looked bigger, faster, stronger at every position except maybe one.

Football rust is a real thing, and it appears to me from watching from start of season to now him (and Dumford Both) are starting to hit their stride.
