7th Region: Week 2

Featured Replies

There were not really any surprises this week but St. X had a huge statement win over Great Crossing to make their claim as possibly the best team in the state. This week will be very interesting as the top 3 teams in the region all play in the King of the Bluegrass so curious to see how all three of them do. let's get to the rankings and how each team fared this past week.

Team Rankings

1. St. X (5-0) - The Tigers had a massive week going 4 and 0 with a win over #1 Great Crossing. St. X has to be considered the #1 team in the state at this point of the season and I believe they are the favorite going into this weeks King of the Bluegrass.

Brown W 97-42

Moore W 82-40

Louisville Holy Cross W 100-38

Great Crossing W 72-58

2. Male (5-1) - The Bulldogs suffered their first loss of the season losing to Lexington Catholic. They went 2 and 1 on the week.

Fern Creek W 89-74

Lexington Catholic L 48-54

Woodford County W 55-47

3. Trinity (3-2) - The Rocks went 1 and 1 this week beating Atherton in Overtime and losing to a good team out of Ohio.

Atherton W 83-75 OT.

Princeton Cincinnati (OH) L 41-50

4. Manual (4-0) - Manual went 2 and 0 this week to remain undefeated.

Central W 88-48

Father Ryan Nashville (TN) W 78-52

5. Eastern (5-3) - The Eagles went 2 and 2 this week. They have been busy playing 8 games already.

Seneca W 73-57

Spencer County W 65-52

Jeffersontown L 56-61

Bryan Station L 54-77

6. Ballard (4-2) - The Bruins had a busy 4 game week going 2 and 2.

Western W 81-39

Frederick Douglass L 67-85

Franklin County W 66-54

Woodford County L 56-66

7. Christian Academy (1-2) - Cal went 1 and 1 on the week and has only had 3 games this season so far.

Seneca W 67-62

Lloyd Memorial L 52-64

8. Atherton (4-3) - The Ravens had a nice week going 3 and 1 and their only loss was a overtime game to Trinity. They look to be the sleeper in this region.

Collegiate W 64-28

Kentucky Country Day W 71-57

Valley W 68-32

Trinity L 75-83 OT.

9. Seneca (1-5) - Wins have been hard to come by so far for the Redhawks but they have played a tough schedule and some very close losses.

Eastern L 57-73

Christian Academy L 62-67

Fern Creek W 70-68

Taylor County L 67-76

10. Web Dubois (2-3) - WEB Dubois had a 1 and 1 week. The Lions are pretty competitive for a school in it's third year in existence.

John Hardin W 81-58

Jeffersontown L 54-85

11. Kentucky Country Day (1-4)

12. Shawnee (2-1)

13. Highlands Latin (3-3)

15. Central (1-4)

16. Collegiate (1-5)

18. Brown (2-5)

19. Portland Christian (2-3)

Manual's looking good and possibly could end up being the #2 team. I thought Male played well without Cole Edelen who has ankle injury.

How long is Cole Edelen out do you know @Tigerpride94

No, but someone said he was in a boot at game Sunday.
