Hazard 61 Estill County 44

Featured Replies

Hazard came back from  29-22 deficit at halftime to defeat Estill County by the score of 61-44.  Hazard was led by 5-9 Fr. Maddi Frohnapfel (remember this name even if you can't pronounce it) with 26 points including four three point baskets, eight of 11 free throws, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Soph Braylynn Eddington added 15 points and 14 rebounds.  Soph Laura Everidge recorded 11 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Hazard has a fine group of young talent but suffered a blow this season as another promising Soph Hannah Caudill suffered an ACL injury which sidelined her but the future is bright.

Estill County was led today by veteran sharp shooter Jayci Long with 22 points including three three point baskets, seven of 10 free throws, eight rebounds, and three steals.  Callie Snowden added 10 points and four steals.  Ava Hale recorded seven points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.

Jayci coming back off a season ending knee injury has really made a big difference for the Lady Engineers. Their one weakness is lack of height, they basically start five guards.
