I've heard and read several places that over the past 35 seasons the eventual NCAA Championship has been won by a team the the AP Top 12 in the week 6 poll. The one outlier was Syracuse.

So if this trend holds another season one of these teams will cut down the nets next April.

1. Tennessee
2. Auburn
3. Iowa State
4. Duke
5. Kentucky
6. Marquette
7. Alabama
8. Gonzaga
9. Florida
10. Kansas
11. Purdue
12. Oregon

Kinda amazing that this stat and streak only fits week 6 this consistently.

Give me Marquette at this stage of the season.
