Basketball season is upon us and here in the seventh region there are a few big matchups that should tell us a lot about how the region's top teams look as the season begins.

Here's a look at some of the early season matchups that could be intriguing this week:

Monday, Dec. 2nd

Male vs Eastern (at Southern HS) - GLICOD Stream

Central at Fairdale

Tuesday, Dec. 3rd

Trinity vs DeSales

Manual vs Jeffersontown

Seneca vs Spencer County

Ballard vs Central

Thursday, Dec. 5th

Ballard vs North Oldham

Christian Academy (Lou.) at Fern Creek

Friday, Dec. 6th

Trinity vs Male

Seneca vs Fern Creek

Saturday, Dec. 7

St. Xavier vs Spencer County

I'm looking forward to covering this region all season! Going to be a phenomenal year!
