Just to let everyone know. I'm making a point of studying in depth forecasting severe weather this winter. So I can hopefully be better at forecasting severe storms by next spring. Here is a list of what I'm working on right now.

Reflective UH.75

Updraft Helicity (low level rotation)

Supercell Composite

Significant Tornado Parameter

Forecast Soundings which includes the following

LCL-LFC which indicates capping

EFF SRH-which indicates inflow to a storm; this is needed for tornadoes

MLCape- which indicates instability.

I'm also making an in-depth study of weather models.

 

Hope this will make for better forecasts.
