5A South Warren (8-1) at 4A Logan County (4-5)

The Spartans head west across 68-80 to take on the Cougars of Logan County.  This will be the 9^th meeting between the 2 schools with South Warren holding a 6-2 lead in the series.  Logan County beat South in their opening season of varsity football back in 2011 (24-13) and then STUNNED the Spartans in 2022 27-17 at South Warren.  That 2022 defeat came on the heels of a grinding loss at Greenwood which knocked South to the #3 spot in the district last season.  But that's likely the last of the good news for Logan County here.

Logan County Information

The Cougars have had a challenging year with what will very likely end as having a losing record at the end of this season.

Logan County is led by Jr QB Ridge Holman (Great Name!) with over 1,100 passing yards on the season with 15 TDs vs only 5 INTs.  Also WR Brady Hinton has over 500 yards passing with 7 TDs on the year for the Cougars.

South Warren Information

South comes in this game on the heels of sowing up the #1 spot in 5A District 2 by blasting hapless Ohio County 62-0 (That's ALOT of points Coach!).  South Warren continues to be led by Star SR QB Byrce Button who has played as well as any QB across the state this season.  Defensively, South will be in good shape for this game.

Game Information

The game will be played at Logan County High School football field.  My only question in this game is can Logan County score any points?  I think probably not.  South rolls.

Bump.
