Not a very exciting game as Somerset (5-3, 2-0) grounded and pounded the Admirals (0-8, 0-2) into submission in former head coach Clay Clevenger's return to Danville.  Somerset activated a running clock before the fourth quarter.  However, the Admirals did score more points in this game than they have in any other game this year.  Jutayvion Beasley and Trinden Sellers had some nice gains in places and they weren't taken back due to flags, so the Admirals continue to improve there.

Somerset running back Kris Hughes his way with the Admirals all night.  He ran for more than 100 yards in the first half.  His usage tapered off in the second as the Briar Jumpers gave senior Grayson Gulock some work.  Each had 2 touchdowns.

Ads had 108 yards of total offense (2 rushing, 106 through the air).  Somerset had 330 rushing yards.

Next week Somerset visits Leslie County (5-2, 1-0 going into tonight) to wrap up district play.  The Ads do the same, visiting Breathitt County (2-5, 0-1 going into tonight).

Danville has a few good youngsters. I hope they can keep them together and get more bodies on the football team. High school football in KY isn't quite the same when Danville isn't good. Good luck to them and the future of the program
