Is there a max-margin they use, like in basketball or soccer tournaments?  If not, it seems like a somewhat flawed system with no out-of-state teams and rewarding teams for running up the score. Although there are definitely flaws in all the systems.

I limit the margin to 40 pts if the difference in rating is less than 40 pts to prevent running the score up which will effect the rating. Also for example, if Boyle County was playing lowest rated team in state then Boyle's rating would not be hurt if only win by 50 showing mercy where they should win by over 100. It's not perfect but overall does good job and like any system gets better as season goes on. Last year, it correctly picked the winner of every championship game. I don't think it will do that every year but was impressed it did that.
