Bishop Brossart starts the year 2-0

Ask and answer football game with Brossart on top 21-20 at the half and NCH getting the ball to start the second half.  Mustangs defense shut them down the first three offensive possessions of the second half while tacking on a score of our own making it 28-20 after 3 quarters favoring the visitors.  An early 4th quarter tally made it 35-20 Mustangs, and while the Spartans answered, making it 35-26, that was as close as they would come.  Brossart scores on two more occasions late in the game making the final score 48-26, and improving to 2-0 on the season.

Cam Mandel ran for three Brossart Touchdowns and Tyler Holtz threw for two more.  Place kicker, Max Runge, a SoccerStang, nailed all six of his PAT attempts, raising his total to 11 straight on the young season.  

Mustangs return home for a pair of games at the MAC - Next Friday night vs Pineville at 730pm and Nicholas County on the 13th.
