East Carter shuts out the #2 ranked Boyd Co. Lions in the 16th region championship 6-0.

The Raiders improve to 22-6 on the season the #2 ranked Lions of Boyd County finish their season at 31-4 with 2 of their 4 losses coming against the Raiders. East Carter will take on the 9th region champion on June 7 at Legends Field.

East has been raking all year, but the story here is the zero in the run column by Boyd County. Andrew Tomolonis was dealing from the mound, as he's done all season for the Raiders.

You never know this is the 40th anniversary of the run they made in 1984 to win the State Tournament. That year they beat Harrison County to win it all they were actually the district runner-up.
