DragonFire Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 Suffered a non-contact injury when making a feint towards third base after a lead off double in the first inning. Non-contact, while they didn't initially think it was going to be this severe, an MRI revealed a complete tear of the ACL. This is not the same knee he tore his ACL in three years ago. Meaning, he now has torn his ACL in both knees during his career, which naturally is quite concerning. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/I'd/40226101/atlanta-braves-ronald-acuna-jr-season-torn-acl This is the second major injury to the Braves this year, as they earlier lost Cy Young favorite Spencer Strider to an elbow injury back in April. Brutal for the Braves, a real downer for the game of baseball. My Braves have blessed me with some positive times in the last several years, but this year has been a tough watch so far. 1
Tranquility Base Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 Hate that for him and the Braves. I guess if it's any consolation, at least it's the other knee and he's not further damaging it. Going to make catching the Phillies all the tougher.
