Hilltopper2005
WOW is right! It was a good win for Harrison, but......, they had an 82-57 lead in this one. What happened in the last 4 1/2 minutes?
FANOFTHE11th
Credit to Harrison Co., they shot lights out first half. Franklin Co. lacked intensity on defense first half as they appeared less ready to play than the Breds. Harrison led by 26 at halftime. FC came out in 3rd quater with increased defensive intensity, cut the lead to 13 and had a chance to cut it to 11 with a little less than two minutes to go in the quarter. At that point Franklin County was charged with a technical foul. Harrison converted the free throws and made a three on their possession. At that point the momentum shifted to Harrison and they increased their lead to 23 points at the end of the 3rd. In the fourth quarter Franklin Co. outscored the breds 34 to 13 missing a three point shot at the buzzer that would have won the game.
KY Thorobred
In the fourth quarter Franklin Co. outscored the breds 34 to 13 missing a three point shot at the buzzer that would have won the game. Are the Breds not well conditioned, or are they just prone to choking (i.e. Boyd County)?
Hilltopper2005
Personally, I think it is more a case of lack of experience. Despite having 5 or 6 seniors they really don't have that many players who have logged much playing time prior to this year. A win is a win whether you win it in the first half and hold on or whether you rally in the second half. 88 points is a very impressive offensive performance. Best of luck to the Breds as Tourney time approaches.
FANOFTHE11th
Are the Breds not well conditioned, or are they just prone to choking (i.e. Boyd County)? It appeared that depth is a problem for them as their players were tired at the end of the game. Harrison deserved the win and Franklin County deserved the loss....end of story.
insider
Franklin is a very up and down team. It is strange trying to gauge them because for the last couple of years they have had some talent but they just can't get it going. Part of the problem is their region but if you look at how they have done against top schools from other regions they are struggling there as well. Chalk needs to figure something out and fast. kybred
I think the Flyers overlooked the Breds and no defense was played in the first half.
