I am not a Notre Dame fan, so I don't watch them.   Was he not cutting it as a Play by Play guy?   He sounds so much like Cris, I don't know if I could take him calling every play, but I never watched, so I don't know how he was in the role.

????????: Jac Collinsworth will no longer be calling Notre Dame football games according to The Athletic.

Dan Hicks is the expected replacement for Collinsworth, but Noah Eagle and Todd Blackledge will call Notre Dame games if NBC considers Notre Dame’s matchup to be the best of the week. So Notre Dame fans can expect to likely see different announcers throughout the 2024 season.

Collinsworth was the play-by-play announcer for Notre Dame Football home games & various neutral site games since 2022, replacing Mike Tirico who now covers the NFL.

I have seen Jac on some random broadcasts, including NASCAR, and although I like him most of my experience with him has been a bit here and a bit there.

I did hangout with Jac and talk to him for a good five minutes or more at the Banks in downtown Cincy not too long ago.  He was out of his way nice and professional with me.
