Looks like Coach Payton is a Fort Campbell football alum from the early 90s. He played football at Kentucky Wesleyan, and played for 9 years in various indoor/arena football leagues. Started in coaching in 2003 as an assistant at Fern Creek, and then switched to coaching indoor/arena football up through 2019. He has had some extensive experience as offensive coordinator, and spent one year as head coach of the Massachusetts Pirates in the IFL. Spent 2020-2022 on the coaching staff at North Oldham High School.
