Final from Park Hills.  It was a hard fought game from the beginning.  Holy Cross’s defense gave NDA all kinds of fits.  In the first half Holtzapfel hit a couple of three and in the second half HC did a much better job trapping her any time she got the ball.  Wimzie from HC did a nice job in her free throws hitting 5/6. With Nelson also hitting all but one when NDA was fouling at the end.  It was a slow paced game. Murphy let Holy Cross rundown 45 seconds at the end of each of the first 3 quarters.  That gave Holy Cross a chance to rest since they were only playing six. Reality is though this was a pride game nothing more than that.  The real game will come in districts to see who can get that first seed for regionals, good job to both teams.

Holy Cross 10 12 9 8 - 39

Notre Dame 9 5 11 5 - 30

Holy Cross Scoring - Hunt 9, Hayes 9, Wimzie 8, Nelson 8, Arlinghaus 3, Carter 2.

* I did not get all of the scoring totals for Notre Dame but pretty sure Sophia Gibson had 12 to lead the way.
