Paging @PrepSpin.

Starting lineups

LexCath - Doyle, R. Williams, M. Williams, Reinhart, Smith

Boyd County - Hicks, Spurlock, Ellis, Holbrook, Taylor

Knights getting to the rim at will in the early stages.

10-7 LexCath

2:56 1Q

Boyd keeping pace, but a Reinhart 3 keeps the Knights in front.

13-9 LexCath

1:50 1Q

End of 1Q

Lexington Catholic 17

Boyd County 12

LexCath is working the Lions on the interior, with 14 of their 17 points coming on layups.

Reinhart hitting the glass for an offensive board and putback.

Boyd counters with a 3 by Hicks.

23-17 LexCath

Timeout Boyd after LexCath stretches the lead to a game high eleven points.

30-19 Knights

2:11 2Q

And-1 converted by Spurlock, who had been very quiet previously.

30-22 LexCath

1:10 2Q

Halftime

Lexington Catholic 32

Boyd County 22

The length advantage of the Knights is giving Boyd fits on the interior. Layups and timely offensive rebounding hurting the Lions so far.

Thanks to DevilMayCare for the link to the audio broadcast.

If this is a real-time broadcast it looks like DeSales & Larue are in for another late-night tipoff.

Oh, dumb me! I forgot about the time difference between Louisville and Owensboro!

Boyd has trimmed the deficit in half.... check that... Reinhart nails a 3.

35-27 LexCath

Spurlock knocks down a 3.

39-34 Knights

4:50 3Q
