1. George Rogers Clark

W – Paris (66-56)

The Cardinals have a record of 13-1. They faced a scare against district opponent Paris. The Greyhounds led Clark 30-24 at the half, but Clark led 50-47 at the end of the third. Reshaun Hampton led the Cards with 28 points (5 threes) and 11 rebounds. Montez Gay followed with 11 points. Hampton had 27 points with 5 threes again against Benton, IL. 3. Mason County

W – Rowan County (63-60)

The Royals have a record of 9-5. Blake Reed, the 10th Region’s all-time leading scorer, only played 18 minutes against Rowan County and has not played the last two games due to “coach’s decision”. There has been no word on what led to the decision. Before the season, Reed was on pace to become possibly the state’s second all-time leading scorer, passing Kelly Coleman and tailing Travis Perry. Reed has 3,726 career points and is averaging 18.8 points. Jake Feldhaus is having a breakout year. He had 18 points in their win over Rowan County. He is averaging 12.6 points and 7.6 rebounds which leads the team. Cayden Reed has been the straw that stirs the drink for the Royals. He is second in both scoring and rebounds with 14.3 and 5.5 and leads the team in assists and steals. Carter McClanahan is still out battling a reoccurring hip injury
