Per WXKQ 103.9 FM, Shelby Valley head football coach Anthony Hampton has resigned, citing the upcoming birth of his first grandchild and a desire to spend more time with his family as his reason. The Wildcats had a 60-34 record in 8 seasons under Coach Hampton, who was promoted to the job as a replacement for Eric Ratliff after having served on the assistant coaching staff at Shelby Valley for many years.
