Saturday, December 9th

Pikeville vs. Portsmouth (OH) at 2:30 pm

Russell vs. George Washington (WV) at 4:00 pm

Boyd County vs. Letcher County Central at 5:30 pm

The host Lady Lions and Russell comprise 2/3 of the 16th Region favorites, while Pikeville is tops in the 15th.

Boyd is darn good. Whoever plays them had better be ready to contain a 6’4 center and the 6’ Biggs girl. They are also a very physical team.

The length of those two is unmatched in the region. Ashland and Russell have quick, guard oriented lineups. It'll be interesting to see how things play out between those three.
