Midway's first sprint football coach has stepped down.

After posting a 2-12 record over two seasons as head coach of the Eagles, Dan Davis has stepped down.

This could have some interesting echoes in local high school football, with the success that former DeSales head coach Harold Davis has seen as head coach of the fellow Midwest Sprint Football League member, Bellarmine University. Bellarmine also started their sprint football program for the 2022 season, and Coach Harold Davis led the Knights to a 4-3 finish in 2022 and a 6-2 finish in 2023.

I've gotta think Midway would be interested to talk to Coach James, Coach McKee, and Coach Hawkins to see what they think about making the move to sprint football coaching.

Isn't sprint football similar to a club sport? I could understand an older coach( retired?) taking a job like that but could a school Midway's size afford a coach currently teaching and coaching in a public or private situation??
